Cean Williard

Lead Pastor
As Lead Pastor of Harbor Church, Cean guides the church’s vision, culture, mission, and overall health. He and his family have been part of Harbor since before its launch, deeply rooted in its story and community. Before joining the pastoral team, Cean served as Operations Manager at Cascades Camp and Conference Center in Yelm, WA. In 2018, he stepped into the role of Executive Pastor at Harbor, where he served faithfully for five years before answering God’s call to become Lead Pastor in 2023.

Cean holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portland, as well as a Master of Applied Biblical Leadership and a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary.

He and his wife, Ashley, have been married since 2010 and are proud parents to two daughters—and two golden retrievers.

STEVE THOMPSON

Biblical Families Pastor
Steve oversees our family ministries as well as our teen and Harbor Kids Ministries.  He also leads our care and counseling ministries and is responsible for developing and teaching our Equipped series of classes.  Steve received his BA from Los Angeles Baptist College and has a Counseling Certificate from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF).  Steve was ordained in 2015 through his Church in Aurora, Colorado where he served as a Lay Pastor for several years.  He’s been married to Robin for 41 years and moved to the Olympia area in 2017.  They have three grown children and five grandchildren.

Volunteer Elder
Pastor JR Harkness oversee’s the Mens and Women's Ministries of Harbor Church. JR and his wife Sandi live in Lacey with their 2 children and dog Murphy.
