What to Expect
Life at Harbor Church
Harbor Church is made up of a wide spectrum of people of differing ages, ethnicities, and stations in life. Our hope is that you will feel the welcome of Christ and be served by our church family as we worship our God together.
Gathering Together
Our time of corporate worship is filled with our pursuit of God in worship
We call ourselves to worship God through His Word
We sing to the Lord and to one another songs which proclaim who He is, and what He has done to redeem humanity through Jesus
We give our tithes and offerings as good stewards and in response to the great gift He has given in Christ
We sit under the expositional preaching of the Word of God
We respond through the ordinance of communion every week remembering the broken body and shed blood of Jesus in our place and for our sins
We are sent out for the mission of God for our community and for our world
Discipling Our Children
We don’t do childcare; we disciple our children through our Harbor Kids ministry. During our gatherings our children 5th grade and under gather in age specific classes for a discipleship experience contextualized just for them. So feel free to check your young ones in before our gathering and let them enjoy singing together and learning about Jesus in a friendly environment with teachers who engage our children with the love of Jesus and the good news of the gospel.
Our students (6th grade and up) join with the adults in the main gathering as we believe it is important for them to join their peers and parents worshiping Jesus through singing, prayer, preaching Word, and responding to the work of Christ in our lives.
Fellowship and Community
We seek to love one another deeply with the love of Christ. We enjoy meeting new people and helping them form deeper relationships within our church family. We show up early and stay late after our corporate gatherings, chatting and hanging out with one another. These relationships flow into our Life Groups, smaller groups of people who meet throughout the week to share life together as they love, serve, care, and live out the Church’s mission to make disciples who make disciples.
First Steps
Start Your Pathway of Discipleship
New to Harbor Church? We’d love to invite you to First Steps, a relaxed and meaningful time to meet key leaders, hear the heart behind our mission, and discover how you can take your next step in following Jesus with us. As William G.T. Shedd once said, “A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.” At Harbor, we want to equip and send you — not just to sit, but to grow, serve, and live on mission for God’s glory and the good of the world.
Join us on the first Sunday of each month right after the service—we’d love to meet you.
