Why Membership Matters
Church membership is more than a formality—it’s a meaningful step of discipleship and commitment. In Scripture, the church is described as a body, a family, and a temple, each image emphasizing connection, belonging, and shared purpose. Membership makes that connection visible. It’s how we say, “I’m all in,” not just to Jesus, but to His people.
At Harbor Church, becoming a member means entering into a covenant relationship marked by love, care, and mutual discipleship. In a world often marked by individualism and spiritual consumerism, membership reflects a counter-cultural commitment to one another’s spiritual growth. It’s how we guard the integrity of the gospel and uphold the reputation of Christ in a watching world.
