Gospel-Centered Fellowship

Why We Do Life Together

We live in a culture where isolation is the norm. We are taught to be independent, self-reliant, and in need of no one.

Yet this is not what we were created for.

The Triune God — consisting of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit — is the picture of perfect community. In the Godhead there is perfect love, relationship, and joy. As humans, we are created in the image of God and therefore we are meant to experience and reflect this perfect community through our lives.

Our sinfulness — both by nature and choice — has separated us from relationship and communion with God, and from relationship with one another. However, because of the life, death, resurrection, and exaltation of Jesus Christ, he has reconciled us to the Father and made it possible to be restored into right relationship with one another.

This is why, after we gather on Sundays, we scatter the rest of the week into our homes and neighborhoods to:

  • Reflect the perfect community of the Triune God

  • Be known and know others

  • Fellowship

  • Pray

  • Share how God is at work in our lives

  • Engage with lost people all around us

Life together and relationships with one another are crucial to vibrancy with Christ and a transformed life.

This is why we are committed to living together.

Membership

Church membership is more than a formality — it is a meaningful step of discipleship and commitment. In a world often marked by individualism and spiritual consumerism, membership reflects a counter-cultural commitment to one another’s spiritual growth. It’s how we guard the integrity of the gospel and uphold the reputation of Christ in a watching world.

Care

We believe that caring for one another is a vital part of what it means to be the family of God. Scripture calls us to bear one another’s burdens, and we seek to live that out by offering support in every area of life — physical, emotional, and spiritual.
