Harbor Church is made up of a wide spectrum of people and our hope is that you will feel welcome and served by our church family. We do have a few personality traits that make us a bit unique.

Life at Harbor Church

  • We like engaging, passionate, music that makes much of Jesus; who he is, what he has done, and what he will do as the King and Savior of humanity. It gets loud sometimes but that’s because we love to sing and proclaim the greatness of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

  • We don’t care much about what you wear as long as you wear something. You’ll see a wide variety of clothing styles and options from khakis and polos to jeans and t-shirts. We default to the wisdom of Scripture when God tells Samuel, “For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) We would rather have your heart make a statement about who you are than the clothes you wear.

  • We love creating an over the top experience for kids! During all of our worship gatherings we have special events for all kids ages 10 and under happening in our Harbor Kids area of our building. Feel free to check your kids in before one of our gatherings and let them enjoy playing, singing, and learning about Jesus in a kid-friendly environment with teachers who love to engage our kids with the love of Jesus.

  • Our older children (ages 11 and up) join with the adults in the main gathering as we believe it is important for our older kids to see their parents worshiping Jesus through singing, hearing the preaching of the Word, and responding to the work of Jesus in their lives. We believe our aim as parents and as a church family is to lead our kids towards a vibrant relationship with Jesus and allowing our kids to see how we live out our own relationship with Jesus and each other is the best way for them to learn how to respond to Jesus themselves. We are currently developing a specific ministry aimed at our children ages 11 through 14 that will assist the transition from the elementary life stage into young adults.

  • We love to hang out with each other. We really do love each other and love meeting new people and helping them make new relationships with our church family. We typically show up early and stay late after our worship gatherings, chatting and hanging out with each other. These relationships typically flow into our Life Groups, which are groups of people who meet throughout the week to share life together as they love, serve, and care for one another as maturing Christians who are becoming more like Jesus day by day.

  • We would love to serve you. If you have questions while you are attending a worship gathering please let one of our people wearing an “I Can Help” lanyard assist you. We would also love to connect you with other people through participation in a Life Group that fits your schedule. If there is anyway we can help assist you as you get to know who Jesus is and how he calls you to respond to him in relationship and your life purpose, please, let us know.
